E Ola Maui
In the wake of the Lahaina and Kula fires in 2023, a group of Hawaiian musicians and filmmakers teamed up with the Lahaina Luna football team to write, record, and film an anthem for Lahaina in just three days.
“E Ola Maui” features performances from Kumu Hula Cody Pueo Pata, Pōlenaikeolamau Pahu, Kawelau Palakiko, Wailau Ryder, Joshua Kahula, Kimie Miner, Kala'e Parish, Kalena Parish, Tavana, Brother Noland, Henry Kapono, Amy Hānaiali’i, Lopaka Colon, and the Lahaina Luna Football Team.
The music video, which prominently features the Lahaina Luna football team, debuted during halftime at the Luna’s first game after the fire.
